What this template does

A calendar full of placeholders is a to-do list. This template produces a calendar where every slot is already filled: the date, the platform, the format, the copy, the hook, the call to action and a note on the image or video the post needs. Sprites builds it around your goals for the month, the launches and dates you give it, and a content mix that balances education, proof, product and personality rather than posting about yourself every day.

The plan is grounded in research. Sprites reads your site and recent posts, checks what competitors in your category are posting, and looks at what is being discussed in your niche that month, so the calendar has timely entries alongside the evergreen ones. Each post is written for its platform: the LinkedIn version and the Instagram caption share the idea, not the text.

Sprites writes and plans; it does not publish or schedule organic posts. The calendar exports as a spreadsheet you import into whatever scheduling tool you use, or work from directly. The paid side is different: where the plan calls for promoting a post, Sprites builds the Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn campaign and stages it in your ad account for approval.

Inputs and outputs

What you provide

  • Platforms, posting frequency per platform, and the month or date range to plan
  • Goals for the period and any fixed dates: launches, events, promotions, holidays that matter to you
  • Your site and brand voice notes, or a few posts that represent how you sound
  • Optional: existing assets to reuse, and posts from past months with what performed

What you get

  • A dated calendar per platform with the content pillar, format and objective of each slot
  • Full post copy for every entry, written for its platform, with a hook and a call to action
  • Asset notes per post: the image, carousel, short video or screenshot it needs, with a brief
  • A content mix summary showing the balance of pillars across the month
  • A spreadsheet export and a list of posts worth putting paid budget behind

How it runs

  1. Step 1

    Set the frame

Sprites confirms platforms, cadence, fixed dates and goals, and proposes content pillars with the share of the month each should take.

  2. Step 2

    Research the month

Reads your site and recent posts, checks competitor activity, and looks for niche conversations and dates worth planning around.

  3. Step 3

    Build the calendar

Places every slot with a pillar, format and objective, spacing product posts so the feed does not read as a catalogue.

  4. Step 4

    Write every post

Drafts the copy for each entry in your voice and for its platform, and writes a short brief for the asset each one needs.

  5. Step 5

    Export and hand off

Delivers the calendar as a spreadsheet for your scheduling tool, and flags the posts to promote so Sprites can stage the paid campaigns for approval.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sprites schedule or publish the posts?

+

No. Sprites plans the calendar and writes every post, then exports it as a spreadsheet you import into your scheduling tool or publish from by hand. It does not post to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok or X. It does run the paid campaigns behind posts you choose to promote.

How does it decide what to post and when?

+

From your goals, fixed dates and a content mix Sprites proposes across pillars such as education, proof, product and behind the scenes. Timing follows the cadence you set and the dates you give; Sprites does not claim to know a magic hour, and it says so.

Are the posts written or just planned?

+

Written. Every calendar entry includes finished copy for its platform, a hook, a call to action and a brief for the asset it needs. You edit and publish.

Can it include images?

+

It writes an asset brief per post, and for posts that need a product image or a simple graphic Sprites can generate the image with its image tools. Video is described in a brief for your team to produce.

Can I run this from Claude or ChatGPT?

+

Yes. Sprites ships an official MCP server, so you can generate and revise the calendar from Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or any MCP-compatible assistant, or in the Sprites app.
